The briefing session is very important because it’s when you’ll meet your guide. During this meeting, your guide will give you important details about the trek. If you’re joining one of our treks, you’ll receive a duffel bag for your luggage. A duffel bag is not provided for the 2D Inca Trail. At the briefing, you’ll also pay the remaining balance for the trek. You’ll be given a map of our offices along with your booking information.
Yes. This is very important! We recommend bringing 300 to 400 Peruvian soles. You may not need any of this money, but in case of an emergency, you should make sure you have enough cash on hand. If you have difficulties on the trail, you can use the money to pay for alternative forms of transportation such as a car, a horse, or a train.
Groups are usually 10 to 12 people, depending on the time of year. The maximum is 12 people and the minimum is 2 people.
Yes. You’ll have the chance to charge your devices at each of our campsites. That said, at some sites you can’t leave your devices charging overnight. On the second and third nights, you’ll have Wi-Fi access for an additional fee of 10 Peruvian soles.
If you choose a private tour, the experience is tailored to you. The size of the group is entirely up to you, and you decide exactly who joins you on the trek. This is perfect for couples, families, or groups of friends. You’ll have your own chef and personal guide, which means the trek is more personalized and able to meet your individual needs.
Our guides are trained to handle illness on the trail. Unfortunately, it’s illegal for us to provide you with altitude sickness medication, but we do everything we can to help you feel better in other ways. For example, we frequently make coca tea, and our guides carry oxygen bottles.
No. Unfortunately, we do not have a refund policy. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. We understand that unexpected things happen that are beyond your control, but we are unable to make exceptions. For more information, please see our Terms and Conditions.
